Abstract

This selection is comprised of texts about the urban parks and monuments that were recorded during a 2019 field trip to Ryazan as part of the project “The People’s History of Russia”. These particular urban objects were chosen due to their popularity, on the one hand, and due to the abundance of disputes concerning their names and functioning in urban space, on the other hand.
